Clairemont is both urban and suburban, and there’s always plenty to do because it’s ideally located in San Diego. Here’s what else makes this a great place to live:
Clairemont was developed in the late 1940s when two real estate developers purchased what was then cattle grazing land. They transformed 1,000 acres into winding streets of suburban tract homes, many of which remain today in addition to newer housing built over the decades. Today, Clairemont is a blend of both new and old—you’ll find plenty of post-war, mid-century homes and architecture as well as houses with more modern styles.
San Diego is known for its diverse mix of neighborhoods—each of which has a style and personality all its own.
